K.V. explains that their prodigy Niely would really like this one to, say, play music like an instrument, and K.V. acknowledges that they can create an instrument from technomancy, sure, but... it wouldn't be a toy.
...It's becoming very clear that this stone ball is not as utilitarian as Sans's liveriver, but from the technology in the lab itself (and the other technomancers doing, you know, more useful projects) Sans can probably discern that the technology of the Animalians seems to have just the same capabilities as Lucas's and his family's technology, but executed in a more magical and more streamlined way.
That said, K.V. is very interested in the liveriver. Is that Miller tech, or did someone else create it? Did, perhaps, Sans create it? Is he a technomancer himself?
