Marinero understands he is not always alone when he is here at Marcos's grave. Though he is blind, his echolocation allows him to generally note the presences of those around him and such, so despite nto catching her more roguish spying, Marinero is not frightened by Clear's presence, nor offended by the gesture.

Marinero accepts the sculpture quietly, with little difficulty despite the strange shape of his tattered-winged arms, rubbing his thumbs across the name and making a chirping sound inaudible to Clear and other humans (though she may, if she's observant, notice the clicking of his tongue in his slightly parted mouth.)

A smile parts that mouth slightly more, and Marinero traces the shape of the looped stems before he sets the plant down before Marcos's grave, his motions slow but steady.

When he straightens again, he looks at Clear and gestures in Common Sign Language a clear Thank you. It's remarkably similar to the ASL sign, a simple touch to the chin and gesture away from it.

In shaky, unpracticed common (but very much not as though he doesn't know common), Marinero asks if Clear is hungry, and gestures toward his house.
