Looking away from the images before her, she focuses on Angus and nods slowly with what he's saying.
"That's right. At first I thought we might just be on a different hemisphere, but maybe not. Maybe we're missing months of time. When I woke up on the beach and saw those glitches, I thought of the Test of Initiation, or the dojo where you could program the room. We're either trapped in a simulation, or the island itself is trapped in some kind of... stasis?"
The problem with all this is that magic has to be pretty heavily involved and Christine just doesn't have that sort of academic knowledge about magic and how it does what it does.
"So how do we figure out what's causing all this? The Director, the glitches, time being wonky. Where do we go from here?" Ordinarily she wouldn't put this all on a little boy, but he is the world's greatest detective.
