Howdy, sailors! Good news: the beginning of this plan is so seamless that there is absolutely no way for the Cursed to catch wind of the Doki Doki Landing Club. Shore? Reached. Boat? Folded. Phantom? Digitized, with 25 minutes of walking time to spare.
The Spork in the Road doesn't hesitate in its directions. As soon as Sayori has noshed, it drops to the ground and spins in a few circles before pointing its tines due north. Like, exactly north. Monika will be able to tell how incredibly, precisely north it wants you to go.
Swift, silent, and unSeen, Doki Dashing Literature Club speeds across the black sand under a blistering sun. Once their 25 minutes of Digital Phantom are up, they've gone 4 miles and received no interference. Even after they're once again visible and theoretically noisy, Mx. Axager and Bardic Inspiration keep them super sneaky. (DC 13; +2 Bardic Inspiration = 19 + 2 = 21) No Cursed have bothered them by the time the hour of double-speed has concluded, and they're so inspired they've managed to push themselves a little faster and farther than expected!
In total, they've gone 9 miles in 1 hour. Looking westward, though, there's still almost as far to go as they've already come and no more speedy feet or digital invisibility to rely on.
(DC 15; 7) It's also worth noting that they've found jack squat of importance along the way. Maybe it's because they've been going so fast or maybe it's because the Cursed Zone just sucks, but Doki Discovery Literature Club is not living up to its name. Natsuki thought she found something cool at one point, but it was actually just a clump of sand.
So: what now? Stay the course, or figure out a new strategy?
