If this island was built for a purpose, maybe that's KV's— a developer. It's all that makes sense to them, after all; they aren't just a researcher here. They are the researcher, the one who developed these holograms, and the one who developed all these toys, and even Niely's Flying Drums.
Then if KV's 'role' is to develop, Lola's must be to lead. She is the unquestioned leader, despite power being distributed among the Animalians as it is.
KV would wager that each of the Animalians must have their own role, if they themselves have one.
